Creative PIE 2013 - Free Creative Conference


 

Creative PIE 2013

 Following the success of last year’s conference, this year sees Creative PIE return for 2 days of exploring Practice, Innovation and Enterprise - as well as plenty of pie shaped puns!

 

Wednesday 16th October -  Launch Event - 5.30pm to 8pm

 

The Launch Event brings you interactive networking led by changing cultures -

 

This specially constructed website invites attendees to create an online profile that allows them to speak with each other before meeting at the event

 

It’s all about making new connections - finding new ways to collaborate - new opportunities to move your creative business or ideas forward . . . and all in a totally non stuffed-shirt way that you can have FUN with!

Thursday 17th October - Conference Day - 9.30am to 4.30pm

 

The Conference day welcomes speakers from various creative backgrounds including festival planning and delivery, theatre, illustration, filmmaking, dance, games design, television production, interior design, music and fine art.

 These are Jonnie Turpie (founder and director of Maverick Television), Flatpack Festival, Jane Hytch (Imagineer), Pip Piper (CEO of The Producers Forum), We Are Frilly, Kevin Corti (Evil 27 Games/Pixel Learning), Luke Brookes Illustration, Sam Slater (Director at MuBu Music, Emma Breeze (Director of Embody Dance) and Pete Ashton (Director of Photo School) to name just a few.

 

Panels include:

 

Big data - How developments in data collection can help businesses do market research more effectively

The value of art - What is the value of creativity? How can you make your commercial case?

How I did it - Creative Entrepreneurs speak out about their own achievements

Finance & Fundraising - An exploration of fundraising opportunities, including sponsorship and crowd funding

Networking - Building relationships and making opportunities

 

Refreshments will be provided, along with a buffet lunch
