Choir Master for Worcestershire County Council Choir

Hi,

I currently work in the Marketing Team at WCC, and as an organisation we are looking to begin a workplace choir as soon as possible as requested by our Chief Executive.

Our current Chief Executive, Trish Haines, is retiring at the end of May and we will be having an official 'goodbye' on Thursday 29 May, in which the proposed choir would like to do a singing performance for her.

As this is a very tight timescale, the plan is to hold two choir workshops – one happening mid-April and the other mid-May. This will be communicated to the members of staff that have expressed an interest in being involved, and will have an open invitation to attend and participate in some singing and practicing in readiness for Trish's performance.

I am by no means a professional in organising a choir, and would really appreciate some expertise in this area to help make it a success for Trish. We would love to have a choir master who can lead and inspire the choir at both workshop events, and the final performance at the end of May.

This will really help to organise aspects such as the types of tracks the choir can sing, which groups in the choir can sing which part and to motivate them during performances.

If anyone is interested in helping out with this, please get in touch with me as soon as possible, and we can arrange a meeting to go over some logistics.

Please also let me know if there will be any cost implications for this.

Thanks,
