Mouth and Music Shakespeare Soapbox

Mouth and Music Shakespeare Soapbox

The Worcestershire Poet Laureate, Heather Wastie, would love the English to celebrate Shakespeare as the Scots celebrate Burns. On Tuesday 26th April, she is teaming up with poet Sarah Tamar for 'Mouth and Music Shakespeare Soapbox', 7.30pm at the Boars Head, Worcester Street, Kidderminster. Poets, singers and Shakespeare enthusiasts are invited to come along and perform their own work or read some of the Bard's sonnets or extracts from his plays, sing Shakespeare's words set to music or just enjoy listening to others. Featuring Tudor musicians A Merrie Noyse! The evening will be informal, with no charge for admission, and everyone will have chance to get on the virtual soapbox and have their say. This will also be the final Mouth and Music as, after four years, the organisers have, sadly, decided to call it a day. See www.mouthandmusic.co.uk.
