SAFARI PARK SEEKS ARTISTS AND PHOTOGRAPHERS…

SAFARI PARK SEEKS ARTISTS AND PHOTOGRAPHERS…

Staff at West Midland Safari Park are on the look out for budding wildlife photographers and artists, to enter their Safari Photographer and Artist of the Year competitions.
The competitions are open to all ages and abilities and include a variety of categories for artists and photographers to enter, with a chance of winning some amazing prizes.
Up for grabs for the lucky winners are prizes including iPads, VIP Animal Experiences, Annual Passes and admission passes. All shortlisted entries will be displayed at an exhibition at the Park during weekends in January 2017.

Competition organiser and Head of Learning, Caroline Richards said,

We are pleased to be able to offer such a fantastic opportunity which recognizes the talents of up and coming wildlife and photographers. Plus it is fantastic to see the animals that live at the Park from the view point of our guests!“

She added,

“Last year was an overwhelming success and we are looking forward to seeing even more entries this year. There are a number of categories available including young artist,
photography in black and white and contemporary art, so hopefully something for everyone. ”

Photographers can enter up to five of their best photos, whilst artists will be in with the chance of winning by entering up to three pieces of artwork. The deadline for entries is 6 November 2016.

Those visiting the exhibition can help wildlife conservation by purchasing prints of any of the photos or any of the artwork. All profit from the prints and 50% of artwork sales will go to the Namibian Wildlife Conservation Trust (NWCT).
